Thx for those who keep Aven in Prayer! Had recover fully from his cough and fever! Brought him for chkup today! Hmm..... He is now 9.44kg. Sounds under weight huh... But he has been eating a lot lately! Usually after a bowl of porridge, he would be full till the next the next feeding time ;4 hrs later. Well recently.... he would wanna eat whenever he sees someone munching away...!

This is how he do it. He would come to you .... stand beside you... smile and look at you.... and nodding his head away... and goes....Mummm mummmmmm (eat). Dun fall for his trick just becos u find it cute alright?!

Haiz.. Ever since I came back to spore... haven't got time to do anything! Time ... seems so pack when you are in spore! Do you ever feel that? You gotta have dinner with your in-laws, Visit Aven during the weekdays, study, meet friends... etc! Time just seems to Fly away!

Did you know that Winnie the Pool was once named Edward Bear, created by A.A. Milne. Milne name Winnie the Pool after a toy bear owned by his son Christopher Robin Milne, who was the basic for the Character in the Winnie the Pool animation, Christopher Robins.

Memory of things

Have you ever recall good times when a familiar song plays in cafe? Or smell a fragrance that reminds you of a place u have been before? So amazing how our brain brings back memory of things through fragrance and songs that generate emotion... Well for example, I used to own a certain fragrance oil from body shop. Is called oceanic or something. I bought this when i was in my sec. sch days. So, one day my brother was wearing the same fragrance and I found it to be awe fully familiar ! Then I recall my sec sch days! hmm... Just a suggestion! If you travels for holiday, perhaps buy a fragrance that will memorialize the good old days! As for me, the song LOUD by Shannon Noll had memorialize my stay here in Newcastle and the detachment life here! And the bad experience from back packers' inn will forever be the experience i had in Sydney ! haha!

Home in 4days and counting down....

Yeap... Miss Aven a great deal. So sad that i can't be there for him and Lynn. It must have been a toll on them all. Glad to hear from Lynn tt the little guy is doing ok. No more fevers at night. Just cough and flu. But He still couldn't fall asleep at night. Cries every night. Pray tt this pass thru quickly.

Alright Am gonna be Home in 4days and counting down.... 2 more working days and 2 days of travelling ! Man... can't this be faster? Can you imagine 7 hrs cramping in a small confine space with a lot of vibration and tremendous noisy environment.. Yea that's our long standing C130 chock ! Wad is worst... I'm doing this for 2 days... God help me!

Facebook marketing function

Had been on Facebook for a while. Finds that its the first online interactive social networking site. You can practically send people online gifts, wrote graffiti, punch, turn someone into vampire.... of cos virtually! Founder Mark Zuckerberg , launches Facebook in 4 Feb 2004. Started out as a site for the Harvard College, eventually the membership spread to a whoopee 34 millions; the largest college-focus site as of July 2007.

One very interesting thing I find about Facebook is how interactive functions can lead to people clicking the advertising link. Conventional sites like MySpace and Friendster simple posted the links and ad banners hoping someone would click. Well, Facebook uses another approach. For instance, if you wanna buy a drink, a gift for someone virtually, u need to have credit. The only way to get credits is just to click the link and go thru the advertiser's request. Well, the amazing thing is user like me just want to do it. Probably, down the road, user will find it a hassle. But as of now, its still attractive.

Affogato

Sometime back, when to this interesting couple's house in Sydney. The wife's brother is a good friend of mine. The Husband is consider a expert in coffee! Learn a thing or 2 about coffee. for example Utopia Coffee has the best beans. A cup of good cappuccino should not have bubbles in milk form. Even though the coffee taste fantastic, it's not consider perfect if u find coffee bean residue at the end. The reason why Italian can have 5-6 cups of coffee a day without health problems lies in the process of making the coffee. If you make coffee correctly, caffeine should not be in it.

I was served with a shot of espresso in Vanilla ice cream. Taste fantastic!

HOGS Breath

My colleagues had pooled together a sum of money previously for BBQ. The sum had left over 470bucks. So went to HOGS Breath for dinner. Well.... they claimed to have the best steaks ! I ordered a medium rare steak! CANNOT MAKE IT!! The piece of steak is plague with fats all over and its really dry. Ok then we order calamari as starter... came a cone shape stand that holds 2 sauces. In the cone, only 7 pieces of calamari! guess how much it's sold for? 10Bucks...! OMG.... I gave the restaurant one more chance! Six of us order ice cream for desert. It came a big full tub .. with almost 3 scoops of strawberry ice cream in the middle, the bottom is fill with brownie and..... the rest of the space is fill with wimp cream!! Disappointment indeed!

13 hrs work!

Work thru 13 hrs yesterday! OMG so tired! But consider the last few weeks had been good; went home on the 7hr mark or less .... this det still worth coming. Alright... 7 more days to spore and 4 more working days!!! Cheers!

Ultrasound scan

Yesterday Lynn went ultrasound. Its been 3 mths! Very bad morning sickness! Can you see the head and the body? So amazing, 3 mths u have the heart and the limps formed. Even the body shape takes place! Thx God, the heart beat was ok. During this first trimester you do not want the baby's heart to go slow.

Aven's New hair cut

Aven's New hair cut.. ! Still like it when his hair is longer! Okay... find some very funny things he did....

1) Run.... don't want people to carry.

2) When my mum makes his fav. drink, he will automatically walk to the sofa, climb up, sit down and wait for her.

3) Walk to the bed and lie down and pretend to sleep.

4) He try to snatch my mum-in-law's handphone. It drop.My mama pick it up without Aven noticed. Aven climb down form the sofa look in the direction the handphone drop and find nothing there. He looks up and looks at everyone, points in the direction and talks.... and talks... and look down the second time very puzzle and point again and talk... he asking everyone, "How come the Hp disappear? It should be here wad?"

Those chili Lovers who are in NSW.... Good news! Found this Ayam goreng99 Shop along the University of NSW. Okay... when u see UNSW, head straight till you see Ayam Goreng99 on the left. Along that road have lots of Asia eatery. They sell very nice chicken rice. But the best part of the chicken rice is the chili ! However, the chili doesn't come cheap. It cost me 7Aussie dollars. So if you are there, whack the chili like there is no tomorrow FOR ME!!

People's Temple, Josetown

Today, watch a heart wrenching documentary show on discovery channel. It is about the mess suicide that happens in Nov 1978. What meant to do good end up , Death! I think this is essential esp. people holding leadership over others on moral, social or religious ground.

Lesson learnt 1 : Wad started out to be good, may not stay good.
Lesson learnt 2 : Always question things that are out of moral
grounds, against your will! There is nothing wrong
in doing that!

In search of my long lost friends!

Recently was on friendster and realize that one of my primary sch friend got married. So happy for her! The ironic thing is she only remembers my mum's house number 2 months after her wedding. Well, after she found me, I found a bunch of others... So glad to keep in contact with them. Well among them, there were insurance agent, Senior tech in RSAF, Wedding planning line etc....

Sydney Fish market

Went to Sydney Fish Market in the morning for breakfast. Love the Seafood! Felt so fulfilling eating it! Had a huge combo seafood and lobster meal. Well of course that is shared among 5 of us. Sat under bright warming sun with cool sea breeze drinking a bottle of beer. Well the seafood makes wad i cook everyday looks like crap. Basically, the seafood is so fresh that I didn't get the fishy smell. A must Go place!

Japanese food North of Sydney suburb

We went on to this very nice authentic Japanese food for dinner. Not much ambient but feels homely. Not too expensive consider the food is prepared by a chef from Japan. Not those commercial Japan mee u eat. I was told the shop puts up a challenge for whoever able to eat 10 bowls of mee (which is huge), he can walk away FOC. I saw the Wall of fame written in papers in black Japanese words. In it were the name, the date and the number of bowls eaten. Well, I think its kinda of interesting. Everything in the shop was written in papers paste on the wall, including the menu. Will try to get the address and post it on this entry. Keep looking out for it!

@ Minus 5º Ice Lounge

There are shops, pubs, sports bar and fine dining across the opera house arena. Looks kinda of like our vivo city. Over looking lake view with dining experience. And we came across this ice lounge that is spectacular. Its call Minus 5 deg. All their cups and lounge tables are made of ice. Which means that place is kept at below 0 deg Celsius. Interesting place . Can read all about that at this site

Opera house and habour Bridge

And so after the coffee, we went to the bridge and opera house to take some pictures. There is a quay named circular quay. Its seems like another form of transport to the Aussie there. There are like monthly rates to travel via tram, bus, and ferry.

Well, to get across to the bridge from the northern suburb into Sydney, there is like a toll fee of 3 bucks all day round.

French Cafe @ The Rock!

Met this interesting couple in Australia. They were my colleague's sister and bro-in-law. The same couple that brought us up to Hunter valley. They brought us to this nice French cafe that have a backyard sittings that has great ambients. It's located around The Rock. Had a cup of Cuppicino and some really nice cakes. Lynn will love this. Too bad cant bring it back for her. So darling.... took a pic Just for you! Will bring u here one day!

Home Backpacker!

Took a train to Sydney on sat morning . The tickets cost us $17.40Aus. Finally am back. Enjoy everything Sydney have to offer except the room we stay in! Let me just say this! Home Backpacker is rubbish! The carpet is dirty. Bed is stained. Room smells bad. Pillow turns yellow. The best part, someone has their bags in the locker in our room. That means that he still has the key to our room! The place is crap!!! It looks like we cant stay even a minute there. Well we did! I should say some of us did. half of them couldn't take the crap anymore, jst proceed back to hotel in Jesmond. But you cant expect anything good out of a 20bucks/day stay.
